Just Energy – Monthly New York Gas Price to Compare Files

As part of its recent suite of reforms to the mass market retail energy sector, the NY PSC issued a prohibition on Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) serving low income customers with competitive electric and/or gas supply. Due to the size of its existing customer book, Just Energy applied for a waiver from this prohibition, which the NY PSC granted in October 2017 (Case 12-M-0476). ETE devised a monthly reporting template for Just Energy that included all tariff components needed to calculate the net bypassable charges for gas supply service. This template included the tariff ID, revision number, and effective dates to ensure full auditability and transparency. Just Energy was able to use this template along with its internal IT systems and management controls to meet the requirements of the NY PSC low income customer waiver.
