ETE was retained by an energy storage developer to provide a summary of the Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) compensation formulas in NY to the firm’s corporate development and sales team. This presentation contained background on the components of VDER, how components are calculated, historical price trends, and expected changes to the formulas per NY PSC guidance during early 2019. ETE also created an interactive Excel model covering several NY utility pricing zones to help the sales team screen the viability of prospective solar and storage opportunities.
