Who We Are & What We Do
ETE conducts economic feasibility studies for solar, energy storage, cogeneration, and a variety of other retail DER technologies. We use customer interval data, applicable rate tariffs, and modeled DER performance to build project pro-formas and calculate paybacks or other financial metrics.
CASE STUDIES

PALEBLUEDOT: FINANCIAL PRO‐FORMA TOOLS & TARIFF EDUCATION FOR COMMUNITY SOLAR
ETE worked as a subcontractor to paleBLUEdot to provide technical expertise and financial analysis to the 150 community-based groups working to build community solar projects through the Solar In Your Community Challenge grant program. Funding was provided by a DOE grant and groups receiving awards could choose from a variety of solar service providers.

CALCOM ENERGY: NEW MARKET ENTRY STUDY
ETE was engaged to create a detailed analysis of the solar landscape in 10+ states with a significant agricultural industry. ETE’s work included a detailed summary of state solar policy, utility rates, net metering/PURPA tariffs, and solar incentives.

ERVING PAPER MILLS: COGENERATION ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY STUDY
ETE was retained by a paper mill in central Massachusetts that was studying the replacement of its boiler with a cogeneration system fueled primarily with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). ETE modeled several potential future price scenarios for input natural gas prices, retail electricity prices, and revenues from the sale of MA Alternative Energy Credits (AECs).

As a dedicated Tariff Specialist at ETE, Julianne harnesses her enthusiasm for data analysis and meticulous attention to detail to deliver support to the firm’s consultants. Her responsibilities include maintaining complete, up-to-date historical datasets and compiling data to drive insightful consultant analyses and deliverables. Before joining ETE, Julianne served as a Transmission Analyst at New Leaf Energy, where she honed her skills in constructing datasets and conducting in-depth market and policy analyses within the renewable energy sector. Julianne holds a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Analysis & Policy, complemented by an M.S. in Energy and Environment, both earned from Boston University, equipping her with a strong foundation to excel in her field.
